KrinLabs Colony Multiplayer User Safety and Equality
tl;dr Just report users you think are hacking or exploiting.
DEFINES Hackers as:
A user who uses
- An external program
- An external piece of code
- A modification of an internal piece of code
- A third party of any kind not recognised in the above
DEFINES Exploiter as:
A user who uses
- An in-game error or glitch
- An in game bug, subroutine or function
- A method which does not involve modifying the game client of any kind
INFURIATED by the unregulated and prevalence of Hackers and Exploiters who ruin or degrade Colony’s multiplayer experience of other users.
REALIZING that through community unity and action, the affects of Hackers and Exploiters can be mitigated.
DECLARES that Hackers and Exploiters be subject to containment through use of a Suspect list and a Blacklist.
FURTHER declares that such information be made readily available to all members of the Colony’s multiplayer community.
DEFINES the Suspect list as a list in which users that are under suspicion of being a Hacker or an Exploiter through formal complaint or accusation made by one or more users.
DEFINES the Blacklist as a list listing all users who have been known, proven and or confessed to being a Hacker or Exploiter.
HENCEFORTH establishes the following articles to use in regards to dealing with Hackers and Exploiters, henceforth known as the Accused.
Article 1 – General Protocol
- The Accused, be added to the Suspect list pending investigation.
- NOTING that the Suspect list does not mean that the Accused is guilty of one or more accusations that have been laid against them.
- An investigation shall be carried out by several members of Colony’s multiplayer community, as well by select KrinLabs users if needed, to determine the veracity of these accusations.
- NOTING that the Accused possesses a right to defend against any and all accusations.
- ACKNOWLEDGES that arguments made for or against the conviction of the Accused must be given weight appropriate to the shape and form that the argument takes.
- Should the Accused be proven guilty, the Accused are to be added to the Blacklist
- NOTING that the appropriate notation indicating the classification of the Accused must accompany the entry.
Article 2 – Exploiters
RECOGNISES that Exploiters are inherently linked to the Colony’s client version or build version.
GRANTS Exploiters chance for a pardon.
- A pardon shall grant Exploiters a period of probation if and only if the Exploiter has no previous record or alternate account that has been Blacklisted for whatever reason.
- The Exploiter shall be moved to the Suspect list whilst their in-game activity is monitored.
- Should the Exploiter be accused once more, the steps outlined in Article 1 shall be taken. However, if found guilty, the Accused no longer have the right for another pardon.
- Appropriate notation shall also be added to the Accused entry in the list to clearly indicate that the Accused and their Alternate Accounts (see Article 3 concerning Alternate Accoutns) are no longer eligible for a pardon.
- The removal of the Exploiter from the Suspect list is at the discretion of KrinLabs’ users’ general consensus.
Article 3 – Alternate Accounts
RECOGNISES that users may create more that one account for Colony’s multiplayer regardless of reason.
NOTING that Blacklisted users may try to circumvent or reduce the effect of being on the Blacklist through use of Alternate Accounts.
HEREBY defines an Alternate Account as a user account for Colony’s multiplayer mode that belongs to one or more users who already are in possession of a Colony multiplayer user account.
- Should the Accused be in possession of one or more Alternate Accounts, said Alternate Account(s) shall be put in the Suspect list indefinitely but shall not be investigated unless due to section 3 of this Article.
- Alternate Accounts shall be listed in the Suspect list with appropriate notation indicating that it is clearly the Alternate Account of the Accused.
- Alternate Accounts in the Suspect list maybe be moved to the Blacklist should the Accused be accused of being a Hacker or Exploiter whilst using said Alternate Account after following the steps outlined in Article 1.
- As a corollary of Article 2, section 2 and 4, Exploiters with more than one user account in the Blacklist, that is, a user account and at least one Alternate Account in the Blacklist, shall not be granted a pardon.
- Alternate Accounts in the Suspect list shall only be removed at the discretion of KrinLab’s users’ general consensus.
Article 4 – Miscellaneous
- This document recognises that not all Hackers or Exploiters may be caught and or exposed.
- This document is proposed with only good intentions. Any attempts to abuse or take advantage of these articles for personal gain shall be regarded with contempt.
- This document is by no means final, and cases with extenuating or special circumstances will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
- Additions to this document will be made as necessary.
- The Administration of KrinLabs reserves the right to add Colony user accounts to the Blacklist at their own discretion, however the Accused shall be given right to defend against any and all accusations.
- This document does not deal with compromised user accounts as account security is the user’s responsibility.

Also any accout with a space in it will also follow the same rule.
Another Note: Those who are on The Exposed List are to be considered to be on The Blacklist as well, hence that they are compromised.
